IRATION is excited to announce that they’re hitting the road again, this time supporting friends Rebelution on their “Count Me In” U.S. summer amphitheater tour. Both bands announced the first leg of the tour–East Coast dates–today. See itinerary below. Pre-sale tickets are on sale now with general on sale kicking off on Thursday, April 3. “We are pumped to be heading out with our brothers Rebelution, The Green and Stick Figure and DJ Mackle this summer,” lead singer and guitarist Micah Pueschel says. “Iration and Rebelution started together in Isla Vista (CA) and now we’re going out together to rock some of the best venues in the nation. We can’t wait to bring the good vibes to your town.” Bassist Adam Taylor adds, “It’s going to be the party of the summer, so get excited, get your tickets, and we’ll see you all soon!”

IRATION just wrapped up their massively successful “Automatic” Winter Tour on March 22 in front of a sold-out crowd (1700 plus) at The Grove of Anaheim in California. The Orange County Register was in attendance and noted “the strength of their set” and that IRATION established “a steady, locomotive pace from the get-go.” Writer Ramon Gonzales also said of the band’s last single “Back Around”: “Packing in punchier and crunchier dynamics, Iration leaned more on rock sensibilities and got an evident payoff…California reggae, beach-ready pop perfect for a breezy swing in a hammock…” (3/23/14)

The Hawaiian-bred, Santa Barbara-based band is touring in support of their third full-length album AUTOMATIC, released last summer and debuted #1 on both the Billboard and iTunes Reggae Albums charts, as well as #7 on the iTunes Overall Albums chart, #75 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart and #17 on the Billboard Independent Albums chart. AUTOMATIC has helped propel IRATION’s career to a new level, and the response from both fans and critics has been overwhelmingly positive.

The “Automatic” Winter Tour kicked off January 24 with a sold-out crowd in Ventura, CA and continued on to reach maximum capacity at venues in Fresno, CA, Petaluma, CA, Tahoe (Stateline), NV, Colorado Springs, CO, back-to-back sell-out shows at Boulder, CO’s Fox Theatre, Cleveland, OH, Boston, MA, Asbury Park, NJ, Wilmington, NC, Tallahassee, FL, Saint Petersburg, FL, Pensacola, FL, Santa Cruz, CA, with many others just shy of selling out. In the midst of the tour, IRATION took time to perform at two official SXSW showcases. Jeff Leven of Hits Daily Double wrote of IRATION, “The energy and musical ease of California/Hawaii reggae but with a crisp songcraft that recalls powerhouse adult alternative acts like UB40 at their peak, which is why they’ve more than found a lane at Alternative radio of late. Immaculate musicianship and warm vocals pave the way for hooks that actually mean something after you’ve sung them to yourself for the dozenth time.” (3/11/14) Of the SXSW set he said, “Iration managed to stuff some truly compelling jams even into a tight SXSW set (with amazing crowd response)…” (3/17/14)

Lauren Wise of Phoenix New Times raved that “Iration embodies the description of sunshine reggae perfectly, a mix of dub, reggae and rock, and the band’s live shows pulse with an undeniable Hawaiian/California positive energy.” (3/12/14) C-Ville in Charlottesville, VA agrees: “Sunny California meets the Aloha spirit in the alt-reggae troupe Iration…these Hawaiian-bred indie mainstays can keep hands swaying and hearts beating.” (2/27/14) The Badger Herald (University of Wisconsin-Madison student newspaper) wrote IRATION “currently stand at the forefront of modern reggae music, bridging the genre’s classic tropes as well as a keen mainstream sensibility.” (2/19/14) Writer Jack Gloss went on to say, “The band’s variation of style helped keep the audience fully focused and engaged…Iration’s set was not only an exciting performance but also a showcase of their musical ability.” (2/21/14)

Beyond the dates with Rebelution, IRATION has confirmed several festival appearances this summer including the California Roots Music & Arts Festival May 23-25 in Monterey, CA, the Wakarusa Music Festival June 5-8 in Ozark, AR and Reggae on the River July 31-August 3 in Garberville, CA. In addition, the tour with Rebelution will take them to the Pacific Amphitheatre in Costa Mesa, CA for back-to-back shows August 9 and 10, and to the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre for Reggae on the Rocks August 23.

On the radio front, IRATION has just shipped their new single, the title track from the album, “Automatic.” The band solicited multiple Grammy Award-nominated engineer/mixer/producer Mark Needham (Imagine Dragons, Killers, Neon Trees, Walk the Moon, etc) to remix the track. The national impact date will be in mid/late April; however, the song has already started receiving spins at the following stations: 91X 91.1FM San Diego, CA, WJSE 106.3FM Atlantic City, NJ, KCXX X103.9FM Riverside, CA, KJEE 92.9FM Santa Barbara, CA, KUCD 101.9FM Honolulu, HI, KTWN 96.3FM Minneapolis, MN, WRMR 98.7FM Wilmington, NC, KNOB 96.7FM Santa Rosa, CA, KFMA 102.1FM Tucson, AZ and SiriusXM’s Radio Margaritaville (Channel 24).
