Suicide Silence frontman Mitch Lucker Dead

Sources confirm Mitch Lucker, frontman of SUICIDE SILENCE, died the morning on November 1st, 2012 after sustaining serious injuries in a motorcycle accident.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Lucker family, Suicide Silence and fans throughout the world.

Suicide Silence, a local metal band out of Riverside, lost their singer Mitch Lucker earlier this morning after coroners pronounced him dead at 6:17am this morning. Lucker was involved in a motorcycle accident last night around 9pm and was unable to overcome his injuries. He was 28 years young.

Suicide Silence was formed a decade ago, based out of the Riverside area where band members initially met. They’ve played major festivals like the Mayhem Festival and were set to play at California Metalfest VI in San Bernardino on Saturday, November 24th. The band’s latest album The Black Crown was released July 2011 and peaked at #28 on the Billboard 200 chart. They’ve also toured with bands like A Day To Remember, Static-X, and All Shall Perish.

Lucker leaves behind a young daughter. Our thoughts go out to the band, friends and the Lucker family. Another talented musician gone too soon…

Suicide Silence posted this message on their Facebook page earlier:

There’s no easy way to say this. Mitch passed away earlier this morning from injuries sustained during a motorcycle accident. This is completely devastating to all of us and we offer our deepest condolences to his family. He will be forever in our hearts.
