Kidneythieves
Zerospace Tour
July 13th, 2002
The Reverb, Cedar Falls, Iowa
Just two weeks after their Omaha appearance, Kidneythieves returned to Iowa for an intimate performance at The Reverb in Cedar Falls on July 13, 2002. Touring behind Zerøspace, the band delivered a set that showcased the perfect balance of industrial heaviness and haunting melodies that had made them one of the genre’s most distinctive acts.
Fronted by the captivating presence of Free Dominguez, Kidneythieves transformed the club into a dark, immersive atmosphere where electronic textures and hard rock energy collided. In the close confines of The Reverb, fans experienced the band at their most personal, with every song carrying an intensity that larger venues often couldn’t replicate.
More than two decades later, the show remains a snapshot of a time when industrial rock was evolving and bands like Kidneythieves were pushing the genre into new territory. These photos preserve a memorable summer night and an era when discovering music in small clubs created lasting memories.
