Valiant Comics’ Flagship title, X-O Manowar, keeps getting better and better. Venditti and crew continue to craft a well-balanced story of survival, espionage and betrayal for our hero who’s found himself missplaced in time. Introducing Lee Garbett as the artist for the current story arch secures that we’ll have issues arriving on time and gives a sense of evolution for Aric and helps introduce us to another fan favorite; Ninjak.
The Vine plans on invading Earth but Aric isn’t the only one who’s bent on preventing the destruction of the human race. Other’s have grown comfortable with the idea of Earth as their home. Dissension is about to claw its way to the surface of the Vine’s implanted Seedling troops on Earth.
Venditti has planted the seed for the next colossal story arch and will soon be cultivating the fruits of his labor. Will Aric trust his new ally? Will Ninjak accept the truth about the mission The Vine has hired him for? For that matter, what will Ninjak think when he finds out he’s been hired by aliens?
More importantly, will our heroes survive long enough to prepare for Planet Death?
The addition of Lee Garbett as artist was a brilliant move on Valiant’s part. Garbett’s art impresses me just as much as Venditti’s amazing story.
