Omega Rising: Conclusion

Joshua Dysart, Khari Evans, Ian Hannin

Pete Stanchek thinks he’s lost everything. His best friend is dead. The love of his life wants nothing to do with him. Stanchek’s time at The Harbinger Foundation has only proven to him that he doesn’t belong in the outside world anymore, and those who should accept him don’t.
The Bleeding Monk knows that Stanchek has the potential to rival even Toyo Harada’s psionic powers, but the monk’s warnings are not taken seriously by Harada. Even Ingrid, the one person at the Harbinger Foundation that Stanchek trusts the most, has betrayed him. Harada has other followers though and they will make sure Stanchek’s powers aren’t unleashed on an unsuspecting world; Hidden Moon has orders to bring Stanchek back. But Pete isn’t about to be dragged back to the Harbinger Foundation like a mad dog and end up back in a cage; Pete doesn’t realize that mad dogs are locked up, they’re put down.
Dysart doesn’t waste any time amping up the energy level in this last issue of Harbinger’s first story arch. However, in every war, there are casualties and betrayals. Plus we get re-introduced to two of my favorite characters from the original Valiant Universe; Livewire and Stronghold!
Art from Evans and Hannin is once again top notch and, coupled with Dysart’s amazing story brings to life the most intense and thought provoking story being published today. I still stand behind what I said as the first issue of Harbinger was released; If you’re not reading Harbinger, you’ll be kicking yourself when back issues are impossible to find.
