I’ll be honest, I don’t remember much of this show. It had only been two months since the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and life was still a blur. We were all still adjusting to our new normal, dealing with the chaos and grief still being broadcast on televisions. I also remember how much we all needed this concert. Mostly how much we needed a break from the real world.
I do recall how loud the show was, though. Lifer and Flaw were just finding their footing in the nu-metal scene, while Cold and Dope were entering the height of their popularity. I also remember thinking about how cool Cold’s Scooter Ward was for smoking on stage while singing.
I wasn’t able to find any surviving photos or Lifer, or Flaw, but I’ll add them if I do.
