The Metal Movement Tour rolled into Quad City Live, bringing together three of heavy music’s fiercest female-fronted acts: Kittie, Otep, and Crisis.
Fresh off the release of her sophomore album, House of Secrets, Otep delivered a relentless performance that blurred the lines between raw aggression and emotional vulnerability. Otep Shamaya commanded every inch of the stage, shifting effortlessly from haunting spoken passages to venomous screams, while the band unleashed a crushing wall of groove-laden riffs and explosive rhythms.
The packed crowd fed off the intensity from the opening note, responding with nonstop movement and deafening approval. In a lineup overflowing with talent, Otep’s performance stood as one of the night’s defining moments, proving why the band had become one of the most compelling live acts in modern metal.
