Gearing up for their return to the USA as part of Fallout Boy’s So Much For (Tour) Dust tour this summer, Brit rockers Bring Me the Horizon kicked off the 2nd leg of their Post Human European Tour in Budapest, Hungary on June 1st with special guests Spiritbox. As if having two of the biggest rock and metal bands sharing the stage wasn’t enough, BMtH opened their set with the live debut of “AmEN!”. Halfway into the band’s hour and a half set, fans were left with an audible gasp as the lights dimmed after the band’s live debut of “LosT”, then came back on to reveal Spiritbox’s Courtney LaPlante center stage as she performed the opening verse and chorus of “One Day the Only Butterflies Left Will Be in Your Chest as You March Towards Your Death” then seamlessly blended into “Nihilist Blues”.
“One Day the Only Butterflies Left Will Be in Your Chest as You March Towards Your Death”, originally recorded with Evanescence’s Amy Lee, hasn’t been played live since 2021. “Nihilist Blues” hasn’t been heard live since February of 2020, right before the world shutdown during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
The unexpected duet was a definite surprise for fans of both bands.
Spiritbox, having completed their first headlining 2023 USA tour, a tour that SOLD-OUT every date, took a break from touring with GHOST to join BMtH on select dates in Europe, as well as numerous EU summer festival dates.
