This past weekend at PAX Prime in Seattle, much of the show buzz surrounded the upcoming Theros block from Magic: The Gathering. Launching on September 27, Theros transports players to a new plane where gods, heroes and monsters are an everyday fact of life. In Theros, players challenge themselves in the untamed lands beyond the city walls, set sail on the raging seas, and learn their destiny from divine oracles all to find out if they have what it takes to stand among heroes.
To help launch players on this epic journey, Wizards of the Coast is introducing an unprecedented, block-long in-store play experienced called Hero’s Path. Through a series of nine quests, players will be called to become heroes by participating in puzzles and battles to earn a unique Hero Card. As you collect each card throughout the Hero’s Path, you will grow in power and become ever-increasingly more prepared for the raging conflicts at the end of each arc. Hero’s Path will kick-off at Theros Prerelease events on September 21-22.
