33-year-old Jun Lin was murdered on May 25th, 2012, by Luka Rocco Magnotta.
Already under investigation for his crimes in torturing and killing cats, Luka pleaded not guilty to the charges under diminished responsibility for mental illness. However, tried under a jury he was given a mandatory life sentence for first-degree murder along with 25 years for other charges.
