In anticipation of the band’s upcoming “Mother” release, IN THIS MOMENT have announced their fall 2019 “Mother’s House Of Horror” North American headlining tour. The “traveling All Hallows Eve masquerade” will feature support from artists who’ve previously joined Maria Brink and her band of merry men on numerous tours. MOTIONLESS IN WHITE, and NEW YEARS DAY will each be touring in support of recent releases, while DED will open the nightly festivities. HELLZAPOPPIN (Circus Sideshow Revue), and the rock & roll burlesque troupe Little Miss Nasty will presumably be performing during the intermission.
Fans who attended In This Moment’s headlining concerts at Beale Street Music Festival, the Tabernacle in Atlanta, and their co-headlining set for KIWR’s River Riot heard a new track, As Above So Below. The band’s initial 2019 tour also featured a cover of Fly Like an Eagle, originally done by Steve Miller Band, as the opening song. No word yet at to whether or not these tracks will be on the band’s upcoming release.

“Mother”, In This Moment’s 7th full length release, and follow-up to 2017’s Ritual, is tentatively due in August. The band once again recorded at The Hideout Recording Studio in Las Vegas, Nevada, with producer Kevin Churko at the helm.
Guitarist and founder Chris Howorth recently told the 99.7 The Blitz radio station about “Mother”: “It’s kind of an extension of [2017’s] ‘Ritual’. And the reason we thought of ‘Mother’… It’s a lot of different things, but a lot of the fans call Maria [Brink, IN THIS MOMENT singer] ‘mom,’ for one. They’re always, like, ‘Maria’s my mom’ and ‘Mother Maria’ and all this. That was always kind of there. We were actually even talking about it for the last album, but I felt like maybe we weren’t ready for it yet. But it’s also ‘mother’ in the sense of ‘Mother Earth,’ the creation of life — all these things that mother has such significance for. Mother is kind of connected to everything. So, in all that sense, it’s really cool and it gives us a lot to pool from. And Maria’s a mom; she was raised by her mom; everybody has a mom, in some sense. So, that whole concept is kind of what we were going for. With the extension of ‘Ritual’, the album before, and some of the imagery with that, the ritualistic, pagan kind of feel.”
