ROYAL BLOOD DEBUTS AT NUMBER 1 ON UK ALBUM CHART |

Los Angeles, CA – September 2, 2014 – Royal Blood’s much-anticipated self-titled debut album was released globally last week and has debuted at Number 1 on the UK Album Chart, selling over 65,000 copies in the UK alone. The Brighton duo’s debut had the highest sales for a rock debut in the UK since Noel Gallagher’s ‘High Flying Birds’ release in 2011 and also debuted at Number 1 in Ireland, Number 3 in Australia, and Number 6 in New Zealand, with more to follow.

The band’s debut album has already received rave reviews in the UK, earning four-star reviews in Qand Daily Mail and a 5K review in Kerrang!, to name a few. Hit single “Figure It Out” is currently Number 1 on Spotify Top Tracks and the 2nd most played track at Radio 1 in the UK. The song is also being featured this week as the iTunes Single of the Week in the US.

Royal Blood is a mixture of anguished vocals, ferocious drumming and bass that provides intricate detail as well as a rumble of rhythm. The duo’s sound is a result of a lineage that stretches from present day heroes Queens of the Stone Age to the influential Led Zeppelin, and all the way back to early blues pioneers… yet this huge wall of sound emerges from just two men. In next to no time, the two have earned critical praise following the release of their debut single “Out of the Black” on the band’s own label Black Mammoth Records last year.
