GARY NUMAN MAKES A SPECIAL APPEARANCE DURING NINE INCH NAILS’ SET FOR THE FINAL TWO DATES OF HIS U.S. TOUR

This past Thursday and Friday night, industrial music legend Gary Numan opened for Nine Inch Nails for the two final nights of his U.S. tour in support of his latest release, Splinter (Songs From A Broken Mind). For both performances, NIN frontman Trent Reznor invited Numan on stage during the encore to perform two songs with the band, “Reptile” and one of Numan’s own, “We Take Mystery (To Bed)”.

Reznor commented, “Speaking of appreciation, I’d like to thank Gary Numan and his band for joining us on this tour… I waited until he left the stage so i didn’t make him feel uncomfortable, but you have to understand, when i was a kid in a shitty little town, trying to dream my way out of that prison i was in, i heard that guy’s music and it felt like some weird alien transmission of some place I could never get to … it was beautiful, it was strange, it was exotic and it really helped me shape who I was going to become and it was a real honour to share the stage with him tonight.”
