Hanzel und Gretyl; Fur Immer

While “Hanzel und Gretyl Für Immer” is an album comprised entirely of remixes of their previous release, “Born To Be Heiled”, the new interpretations of these tracks shine a whole new light on the studio versions released last year and prove that HuG is not a typical death metal band. “Hanzel und Gretyl Für Immer” features an eclectic blend of death metal, dub step, doom metal, dance rock, electronic and industrial elements, with each of the remixes tied together by the band’s unmistakable “ersatz” German affect. The tracks are laced with more dark metal/industrial aggression than their original mixes. Some even focus more on Hanzel und Gretyl’s roots as a scifi/metal/dance group. Each of the remixes were completed by “KyzrWölf”, Kaizer Von Loopy’s electronically based solo project, in July of 2013 in between HuG’s world touring adventures.
