One of the biggest names in electronic music, deadmau5 recently played a secret show for 200 fans at Sonos Studio in Hollywood that was recorded for broadcast on KCRW’s signature music show “Morning Becomes Eclectic” tomorrow, Thursday, November 1 at 11:15 a.m. PT.  The full 90-minute DJ set and an interview hosted by KCRW Music Director Jason Bentley will be available on demand at that time here.

A one-song video of “The Veldt” (feat. Chris James) [Tommy Trash Remix] from the session is available now to view and embed.

The artist squeezed a mini-version of his LED-paneled cube into the space, but during the interview hinted at what was in store for his upcoming tour, calling the stage production “insane” and proclaiming his surprise that no one had thought of before.

He also discussed his musical background, songwriting and how working with a wide variety of collaborators on his new album > album title goes here < (Ultra Music) allowed him to show his range as a producer and “come out of his shell,” saying he didn’t want to be known as “the ‘Ghosts N Stuff’ guy” anymore.

deadmau5 is an intensely focused performer and this live session is a rare treat for fans to see a close up view of what he does during his live shows.

Tune in to “Morning Becomes Eclectic” tomorrow, Thursday, November 1 at 11:15 a.m. PT to hear the session and watch it online in full here.
