Josh Johns took over Valiant’s twitter account for the afternoon and gave us a near word-for-word transcription of their panel. I won’t waste your time with a boring write-up. We’ll just get right into the amazing announcements at today’s Valiant Panel at NYCC. Here’s what we learned!
After introducing panel members Joshua Dysart, Dinesh Shamdasani and Fred Van Lente, Valiant COO Shamdasani showed one lucky fan a final print copy of Valiant’s next highly anticipated release, Shadowman.”This will really be Jack’s journey and discovering who he is,” Warren Simons on the November release of Valiant Entertainment’s highly anticipated title, Shadowman. “One of the great things about working at valiant is that we have such a wealth of characters,” Warren Simons. According to the panel, we will be seeing Deadside in future issues.
The panel then moved on to Archer & Armstrong. Starting in issue #5 Valiant will begin a new arc! The Eternal Warrior is going to come after (Archer and Armstrong), by the end of the arc the title might just be called “Armstrong.”
“Our Eternal Warrior is, in a word, ruthless!”
And what about The Sect? The Sect is like a United Nations of secret, evil societies. Coming up soon, Valiant will reveal the most terrifying branch of The Sect; The Null. “The Null are terrifying. While most of The Sect is satire and parody, these guys are truly evil!
In the next arc of Bloodshot, fans will see that Bloodshot is, in fact, a HARBINGER HUNTER. “We are bringing back “Chainsaw”!!!! In issue #5 and #6 we will see the return of Chainsaw.”
Next on Valiant’s panel? Planet death time!
Warren Simons is laying out the plans for the Planet Death arc in X-O Manowar! The Vine “wake something up” that will cause a MAJOR problem and after the shocking revelations, Aric decides to take the fight “TO THE VINE”. Death. Is. Coming. The Commandos are coming!!! In issue #9 of X-O Manowar, we will see the first appearance of the X-O commandos and they are not to be messed with!!!
Joshua Dysart then took the time for a major annoucment; Harbinger #0 is coming!
Dysart describes Harbinger #0 as the story of a young Toyo Harada learning to control his powers. “Harada will come into his own…and we will see a child controlling an entire post war refugee camp…” Dysart then moves on to Harbinger’s Renegades arc. Each issue of the arc will be focusing on each new member of the Renegades!
One single word set the panel on fire! Flamingo.
Dysart continued with, “Kris is going to be a human being amongst gods, and we will revisit the events of the first issue.”
At the end of the month, Valiant Entertainment will be releasing all of Quantum and Woody on ComiXology.
As if those fans attending the NYCC panel weren’t lucky enough, COO Dinesh Shamdasani shocked those attending by revealing the Gold Variant for Archer & Armstrong #1. The first time anyone outside the Valiant office and printing press has seen this rare treasure. Even better, everyone attending gets a copy!
