The amazing team of Swierczynski, Garcia, and Lozzi continue to impress me, and I’m not a easy sell. Swierczynski’s story of military subterfuge, redemption and revenge is one of the best stories I’ve read in many, many years. Coupled with Garcia’s highly detailed art, you’ve got yourself one of the best books currently on the shelves. Swierczynski continues to delve deeper in Project Rising Spirit’s past and uses flashbacks as a way to slowly peals back the layers of our amnesiac military experiment set loose.
I sympathize with Bloodshot. Imagine having your sole purpose being that of death and detruction but still not knowing exactly who you are. Even more questions are raised in this issue. I found it very intriguing that Harada’s name is brought up by Pulse. And Garcia’s art continues to raise the gore-factor of the entire Valiant Universe.
