For the next T&B release, the label goes Dutch and dirty with Guerilla Speakerz, the young duo of Daniel and Marlon from the Netherlands. They like ridiculous sunglasses, scissoring synthetic bass and massive kicks, rocking them everywhere from their monthly residency at Amsterdamʼs Bitterzoet to massive festivals around the country.

Holla EP is like a big postcard of “F*ck Off and Dance,” melting down your favorite styles— bassline, hip-hop, big-room house, and grime—then rebuilding them into gold bricks that smash the dance.

Title track “Holla” rides the wave of the new trap phenomenon with lush old-skool pads laying over 140 bpms of thick and nasty boom-clap. Whether youʼre rocking a club, block party or your Jeep, youʼll love this tune, perfectly straddling the line between rap and rave. “Parool” is a minimal bit with huge drops leading into a classic T&B-style heavy bass joint, with some gunshots and Dutchy bits for good measure. An underground tune that even a big-room DJ could love, for fans of early Jack Beats and Foamo.

Last, but actually first, is “Polaroid,” which has all the screw face factor of early grime tunes but an arrangement built for modern dance floors. Evil waves of bass and cracker-crisp snares dominate this slice of mutant breaks, urging you to shake it like a Polaroid… well, you know. We canʼt think of a more well-rounded release in the heavy bass style—watch your speakerz.

Already played on BBC Radio 1ʼs show by Diplo & Baauer, with additional support from Laidback Luke, Will Bailey, Drop the Lime, Mightyfools, Greenmoney, and Lucid.
