Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros hit the road today for an extensive run of live dates. The trek will kick off tonight in Ojai, CA at Libbey Bowl for a special performance to benefit the Ojai Valley Community Nursery School. The band is touring in support of their May release Here, which debuted at #1 on the Independent Music Chart and #5 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart the week after its release. Relix Magazine hailed it as “an album full of undeniable folk-rock hooks, gospel overtones, infectious lyrics, orchestral swells and a whole lot of love,” and Entertainment Weekly praised the album for its “lovely troubadour melodies.” Having recently wrapped a nearly sold-out European tour, the band is also putting the final touches on the follow up to Here, which will be released in early 2013 via Community Music.
