Southern California’s DAYSEEKER — Rory Rodriguez [vocals], Ramone Valerio [bass], and Zac Mayfield [drums] — are thrilled to announce the expanded edition of their watershed, 2025-released magnum opus Creature In the Black Night.
Titled Creature In the Black Night Redux, it arrives February 26 via Spinefarm and features several tracks remixed by The Midnight, as well as live versions and a My Chemical Romance cover. Pre-save it here.

“This was such an honor to collaborate with The Midnight and transform these songs in a way people have never heard before,” offers Rodriguez about the overall release. “The MCR cover of ‘Ghost of You’ is so nostalgic for all of us in the band as well and we really tried to recreate that song in our own band’s sound and image.”
To coincide with the announcement of the deluxe version, Dayseeker have shared the “Shapeshift” (Feat. The Midnight) Remix.

“I used to jam a mellow version of ‘Shapeshift’ on my piano and sending it to The Midnight and getting to hear them transform it into an ’80s synthwave version just completely blew us away. It’s a complete reinvention of the song and we feel like people will love it,” says Rodriguez.
“We’ve always felt a deep connection to the metal community. For years, I’ve been wanting to create a genre called ‘metalwave,’ and this is the first step in that direction. Dayseeker + The Midnight just felt like the perfect fit,” states The Midnight/Tim McEwan.
The album version of the song is currently at rock radio, and was the No. 1 most added track when it dropped. It also follows their massively successful single, “Crawl Back to My Coffin,” which marked the band’s first No. 1 at the format.

Dayseeker will return to the road on the second leg of Motionless in White’s The Sweat and Blood Tour. They will serve as direct support. The Devil Wears Prada and Dark Divine will also appear.
