WHITE DENIM PERFORM ON “JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE” TONIGHT AS SHOW KICKS OFF SERIES OF FIVE BROADCASTS FROM AUSTIN, TX
Band Tours North America With Arctic Monkeys This June
White Denim To Play Bonnaroo, Firefly, Tortuga & Shaky Knees Festivals
 “Jimmy Kimmel Live” has tapped Austin-based band White Denim as the first musical guest for the ABC show’s weeklong outing to the Lone Star state. The group will perform on tonight’s show, which will be broadcast from downtown Austin, where the 28th annual South by Southwest® (SXSW®) Festival is underway.
The band will open for Arctic Monkeys on a series of North American dates in June, beginning with a show at Iroquois Amphitheatre in Louisville, KY on June 14. White Denim will also perform at the Tortuga, Shaky Knees, Bonnaroo and Firefly music festivals and play numerous headline shows. See below for itinerary.
White Denim is touring in support of its latest album, Corsicana Lemonade (Downtown Records), which The Wall Street Journal hailed as “its best so far” in this recent feature. “Garage-rock nuggets don’t get much tastier than this loose groove,” said Rolling Stone while the KCRW Music Blog observed, “White Denim ALWAYS delivers.”
The album, which was produced by Jeff Tweedy and Jim Vollentine, was awarded four stars by MOJO, The Guardian and the London Evening Standard. Q Magazine praised Corsicana Lemonadeas “Pure euphoric uplift…A staggering, intoxicating record.” The band will wrap up its spring European tour with a show at London’s O2 Shepherds Bush Empire on May 28.
