ORGY and ODDKO Weaponize Greek Myth Against Modern Excess in new video “Siren Song (Rework)”

ODDKO and ORGY unite on Siren Song (Rework), twisting myth and metal into a cinematic strike on consumer culture. The track blends industrial and alternative metal with a modern edge.

The collaboration was born in Los Angeles, where Giovanni Bucci (aka ODDKO) and Jay Gordon (ORGY) met multiple times in the studio. Siren Song (Rework) marks the beginning, with another track already on the horizon.

The original version of Siren Song dropped on Buy Nothing Day (Black Friday) as a statement against the cycle of buy, waste, repeat. Its message still cuts sharp: “Work to buy / Just to comply / Live a lie until you die.”

The release arrives with a music video, directed, edited, and VFX’d by Gio himself. Known as music video director for Korn, Fleshgod Apocalypse and Santan Dave, Gio doesn’t just write music, he builds worlds where sound and image merge. The video fuses live action with post-apocalyptic CG landscapes, a sculptural and nightmarishly beautiful mix. A dystopian art film disguised as a music video. It amplifies the song’s message, daring the audience to stare down the sirens of greed and refuse their call.

ODDKO explains:

“Siren Song is an observation on how our society has been tricked into believing that accumulating products equals a better life. We have been deceived into constantly buying, often products deliberately built to break or wear out, trapping us in a cycle of repurchasing while waste piles up. That system drains not only our money but our time and lives. The title comes from the Greek myth of Odysseus and the Sirens, symbols of distraction and deception that eerily mirror modern commercialism. After hearing this track, I hope people ask themselves: Do I really need this, and how many working hours of my life do I have to give up for it? That simple line of questioning can save your wallet, your life, and the environment.”

“We are surrounded by pretty lies with a price tag. Siren Song is a reminder to stop feeding the machine,” says Jay Gordon of ORGY.

Siren Song (Rework) is released independently, outside the traditional label system. Stream it now on all platforms.

ABOUT ODDKO

“ODDKO is the animal within – the wild beast longing to break free of society’s cage.”

Giovanni Bucci, Dutch-Italian musician and video director, conceived ODDKO as an independent force of industrial and alternative metal, viewed through a filmic perspective into what he calls cinematic metal. Gio’s obsession is merging music, film, and design into one creation, all his vision, with no label and no manager.

ODDKO stands alone, but not isolated. Its vision has drawn allies such as Jay Gordon (Orgy) and Francesco Paoli (Fleshgod Apocalypse), with remixes from Gothminister, Orgy, Zardonic, Rabbit Junk, and Aesthetic Perfection. Production collaborators include Tyler Smyth (Falling in Reverse, I Prevail), Josh Schroeder (Lorna Shore, King 810), Matt Dougherty (Disturbed, Megadeth), and mastering engineer Howie Weinberg (Rammstein, Madonna, Metallica).

ODDKO’s videos are art films, months in the making, blending live action with surreal CG to expose consumerism and blind obedience. Directed, edited, and produced by Gio himself, ODDKO unites music, CGI, and design with the occasional help of a few close collaborators.

Part of why ODDKO looks so cinematic comes from Gio’s path directing music videos and shaping visuals for films like Star Trek, RoboCop, and Terminator, as well as projects for Netflix and MTV. Raised on his family’s organic farm in Italy without privilege or shortcuts, Gio studied in Rome before moving abroad to London and Los Angeles. ODDKO is a world built from the ground up.
