After dazzling fans Down Under during Knotfest Australia, Spiritbox kicked off their first headlining North America tour on April 10th in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The band’s brutal 15 song set included the debut live performance of a new song, “The Void” as well as a surprising cover of No Doubt’s 2001 Billboard Top 10 hit “Hella Good” that most certainly had the crowd dancing as it bled into “Rotoscope”.
The tour will run through May 13th, with the final date being a slot on the highly anticipated Sick New World festival. If you haven’t already gotten your tickets, you’re probably out of luck. The band’s May 5th show at The Fillmore in Detroit looks to be the only show of the tour that hasn’t sold out.
Spiritbox’s vocalist and founder Courtney LaPlante has said previously that they are working on new material, but no release date has been announced yet.
