Wilderado announce 2019 Tour Dates with Mt. Joy

“Big harmonies, big riffs, big heart.” – RedBull.com

“Intrinsically timeless.” – Ones To Watch

Released last year, Wilderado’s latest EP, Favors, marked the dawn of a new era for the Tulsa rockers, reflecting their sound pushing into more nuanced and mature territory than ever before. The band’s most collaborative work yet, it bears the distinctive writing influence and unique sonic sensibilities of all four members (lead singer/guitarist Max Rainer, bassist/vocalist Colton Dearing, guitarist/vocalist Tyler Wimpee, and drummer Justin Kila), and was recorded with production mastermind Phil Ek (Father John Misty, Fleet Foxes). In December, they released an acoustic version of Favors, stripping the songs down to their bare bones and truly revealing their songwriting prowess.

Favors was preceded by pair of EPs – Misty Shrub and Latigo – and a collection of singles released to widespread critical acclaim, with Consequence of Sound hailing their music as “glorious” and Paste Magazine lauding their “South-Central Americana-meets-Laurel Canyon vibe.” Praise across the pond has been similarly effusive, with NME highlighting the band’s “impressive harmonies” and Clash falling for their “natural grace.” The tunes racked up more than 25 million streams on Spotify and helped the group earn festival performances from Bonnaroo to Sasquatch in addition to dates with Band of Horses, Lindsey Buckingham & Christine McVie, Judah & The Lion and more.

Wilderado spent the majority of 2018 on the road in support of Favors, sharing tours with both Rainbow Kitten Surprise and Sure Sure in addition to appearing at the inaugural Grandoozy festival and Austin City Limits. They’re currently on the road supporting Mt. Joy, before a headlining run in May, as well as appearances at festivals such as Treefort Music Fest, Shaky Knees and Bottlerock Napa Valley. Wilderado will be releasing new music in 2019.
