The Veer Union – Decade II: Rock & Acoustic – release date August 31st

Vancouver based The Veer Union is celebrating the 10th anniversary of their first commercial album release with “Decade 2: Rock and Acoustic”. The band has collectively sold over 100,000 Albums and also reached over 20 Million Streams Worldwide. With seven Top 40 singles on the Billboard Rock Radio Charts the band has proven they can stand the test of time.

The new 18- song collection includes some of their biggest hits and 4 new songs, plus previously unreleased acoustic versions. The album will be available everywhere on August 31st through Rock Shop Entertainment. The band will be supporting the release on the “Resurrection” Tour starting August 30th with Puddle of Mudd, Saliva, Tantric and Shallow Side. The Veer Union will then segue into headlining dates in September and October.

To commemorate the one-year anniversary of Chester Bennington’s death (he died on July 20, 2017), The Veer Union recently paid tribute to the late Linkin Park vocalist with an acoustic cover of “Numb” from the Decade 2 album. The video has more than 105,000 views on Youtube and almost 500,000 on Facebook.

TVU released their first independent album titled “Time To Break The Spell” in 2006 under the name Veer. The band quickly gained notoriety after winning a spot in the CFOX 99.3 Vancouver “Seeds” radio competition in 2007. In 2008 the band updated their name to The Veer Union and landed a record deal with Universal Records. The critically acclaimed 1^st single “Seasons” charted Top 10 at Active Rock Radio in the US and Canada. 2009 saw the release of their Universal distributed album “Against The Grain“, which included “Seasons”, “Youth of Yesterday“, and “Darker Side of Me“. In 2012 the band released their self-produced 3^rd album (the 2^nd as The Veer Union) “Divide the Blackened Sky” which yielded the Active Rock hit “Bitter End“. In late 2013 TVU released the “Life Support, Vol. 1” EP as part of a Kickstarter campaign.

In 2016 released the 4^th full length LP “Decade” to commemorate the 10^th anniversary of their 1^st release. With the success of the album “Decade” and the single “Defying Gravity” – which chronicles Earl’s battle with depression, the band is continuing down that same road of success by now releasing “Decade 2: Rock & Acoustic”. The band will be releasing additional singles and videos from Decade 2.
