INTERVIEWED ON

TOMORROW, TUESDAY, JULY 11 AT 1:20PM ET
(HERE)

Tune-in tomorrow, July 11 to hear four-time GRAMMY®-nominated, singer, songwriter and musician SULLY ERNA on NPR’s “HERE & NOW” with host Robin Young for an in-depth interview; listen at 1:20pm ET/10:20am PT (here).
ERNA’s current solo album HOMETOWN LIFE–available now via BMG (here)–was composed by SULLY ERNA on piano, acoustic guitar and the stray bongo, and produced in produced in his New England-based studio. Guitar Player magazine praised the album–a powerful mix of blues, country and rock—for showing  “compelling ‘other sides’ to the Godsmack frontman, such as his forays into country, Motown soul, bossa nova, and even orchestral pieces” (8/18/16). A confessional and raw work, HOMETOWN LIFE offers an intimate view into the emotional roller-coaster of life, marking a stylistic left-turn from SULLY’s first solo album Avalon as well as the music he creates as frontman for the multi-platinum rock group Godsmack. On HOMETOWN LIFE, SULLY explores his own eclectic musical tastes–from singer-songwriter Billy Joel/Bruce Springsteen, to the bossa nova touch of “Take All of Me,” to the breezy island feel of “Your Own Drum,” and the finger-snapping Motown bass lines of the bluesy “Turn It Up,”–which features Sully’s 71-year-old musician father Salvatore playing trumpet-as well as the wide-screen canvas of mini-symphonies such as “Blue Skies” and “Forever My Infinity.”
