Yelawolf Announces New Single “Daylight” From Forthcoming ‘Trial By Fire’ Album On Slumerican/ Shady Records/ Interscope Records

SANTA MONICA, Calif., September 23, 2016 — Alabama-born phenom Yelawolf (real name: Michael Wayne Atha) today releases new single “Daylight” from his forthcoming album ‘Trial By Fire’ on Slumerican/ Shady Records/ Interscope Records. The song was introduced this week during the Magnificent Seven trailer which aired during the premiere of FOX’s Lethal Weapon. Listen to “Daylight” HERE.

Yelawolf will begin touring the album across North America this winter beginning October 13 in Asheville, NC and ending December 4 in Pensacola, FL. The “Trial By Fire” tour will feature Georgia country-rapper Bubba Sparxxx (“Deliverance,” “Ugly,” “Ms. New Booty”), Struggle Jennings (grandson of country legend Waylon Jennings) and Tennessee-born rap veteran Jelly Roll (“Whiskey, Weed & Women”). The new single and forthcoming tour will be the first look at new music from Yelawolf since the release of last year’s acclaimed album, Love Story, his second Slumerican/Shady Records/Interscope release. Love Story debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 and topped both the Rap and R&B/Hip-Hop album charts as the follow-up to his debut, 2011’s Radioactive. The album was recorded mostly in Nashville with producers Eminem, Malay, WillPower and DJ Paul. Last September, he released a music video for the track, “Devil in My Veins,” which he called “the rawest song I’ve ever done,” directed by Ryan “Spidy” Smith, who also helmed the video for “Best Friend” from the album, which featured Eminem.
