Platinum-selling, Grammy-nominated frontwoman of Flyleaf (through 2012), Lacey Sturm, bolts back onto the music scene as a solo artist with the five-star-acclaimed release of Life Screams last week on FOLLOWSPOT Records with The Fuel Music distribution. Available at iTunes, Amazon.com, Best Buy and everywhere great music is sold, the album launches to No. 1, No. 7 and No. 9 on the Top Hard Music, Current Alternative and Core Genre Rock Albums’ charts respectively, while topping the iTunes Rock Top Albums chart for much of last week. The album also sparked the Mediabase Active Rock chart top 30 (No. 27) and climbing hit radio single, “Impossible,” which is No. 2 this week on the SiriusXM Octane Big ‘Uns Countdown.

During Life Scream’s debut week at retail, SiriusXM played Lacey’s exclusive interview with SiriusXM’s Kayla Riley, as well as acoustic performance of “Impossible” and more new songs from Life Screams, while Loudwire released Lacey’s episode of ‘Wikipedia: Fact or Fiction?’. “In this segment, we explore the rock siren’s life from the very beginning up until she chose to depart from her longtime band,” writesLoudwire’s Graham ‘Gruhamed’ Hartmann. “…Lacey Sturm has plenty of amazing stories, so let her regale you in this episode of ‘Wikipedia: Fact or Fiction?’ To grab a copy of Lacey’s new album, Life Screamsclick here.”

Recognized as the voice and songwriter who delivered rock anthems like “Again,” “All Around Me,” “I’m So Sick” and “Fully Alive” to the top of the retail and radio charts, Lacey’s solo debut has given the critics cause to rave. Reviews by AXS Entertainment / Examiner.com, Cryptic Rock, Music Is Immortal, Neo Music Scene,Revenant Media, Music Underground, The Pit and Pop Deflators are joined by a Pure M Magazine cover story and reviews by AllMusic, Sputnik Music, London Music Hall, Rhapsody, National Rock Review, The Front Row Report, Newspaper Post, Tennessee Journalist, Evigshed and others. As momentum for her first solo album continues to build, Lacey is taking her positive messages, new music and fan favorites from her Flyleaf repertoire on the road. Recently performing for a packed house at the famed Whisky A Go Go club on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood for her album release party, her touring ramps up with a significant club tour with OTEP followed by the “World’s Loudest Month,” hitting such major rock festivals as Rock On The Range, Monster Energy Carolina Rebellion, Welcome To Rockville andNorthern Invasion.
