Brand new to the World’s Loudest Month Festival Series, Northern Invasion hits the Great White North in 2015! Legendary thrash metal artists Anthrax are more than ready to bring their message to Northern Invasion. “I’m happy to see more of these Festivals in America,” drummer Charlie Benante recently told Revenant Media. “We’ve been saying for years now that America needs to do what the Europeans do for the Fans…GIVE THEM GREAT FESTIVALS!”
No strangers to the festival circuit, Anthrax will be joining the likes of Slipknot, Five Finger Death Punch, In This Moment, The Pretty Reckless for the inauguration of Wisconsin’s Northern Invasion. “We will treat it as a huge party with high intensity. We’ve played a few rodeos before so this isn’t our first,” Benante admits. ” I love all the bands on the bill, especially Anthrax.”
How does Benante want Anthrax to be remembered when they walk off the stage? “I think I’d like them to remember us the way Roy Scheider remembers first Seeing the shark in “JAWS.” He was shocked and stunned and came out with “we’re gonna need a bigger boat”…Something like that…”
Anthrax are currently putting the finishing touches on their 2015 release. Hopefully a few of the new tracks will find their way into the band’s setlist on May 9th.
