English rock band ENTER SHIKARI is gearing up for another US invasion, which will take place early Spring 2015. In the meantime, they’ll be preparing fans for their US headline tour with the release of their new album THE MINDS WEEP, which is set for a January 20, 2015 release via Hopeless Records. In addition, the band revealed their cartoon animated music video for “Slipshod”– the bonus track on the iTunes deluxe version of The Mindsweep. Enter Shikari will be following up their British and European tours with 30 shows in the US including two festival appearances. The tour will kick off at Never Say Never Festival in Mission, TX on March 20th, rattle around Texas for a couple days, head to the East Coast to work its way up the coast to Canada, bounce around the Midwest en route to the West Coast then work its way down the West Coast and back to Texas to conclude at San Antonio’s The Korovaon April 28th. Enter Shikari has been awarded Best Live Band numerous times by both Kerrang! and the Association of Independent Music if that’s any indication of the caliber of their live show. The Mindsweep has already received critical acclaim overseas. Rock Sound declared “The Mindsweep is the aural equivalent of a thousand-strong march through the capital.” While NME named “Never Let Go of the Microscope” an Essential New Track and Kerrang! included it on their The 10 New Rock Tracks Melting Our Ears! playlist. Their first single “The Last Garrison” along with “Never Let Go of the Microscope” and “Slipshod” are currently available via iTunes. Enter Shikari formed in England’s Hertfordshire in 2003. They cemented themselves into the global music scene with their unique style of incorporating post-hardcore and heavy metal sub-genres with elements of various electronic genres creating a very distinct sound. To date, all of their albums debuted in the Top 10 on the Official UK Album Chart, including two at #4. Enter Shikari continues to use their music as a vehicle to reach masses while they confront both political and social issues.
