Bastille was recently named the Alternative Artist of the Year by Mediabase. With its three Top 5 Alternative hits, the bandgarnered the most airplay at the format in 2014. Mediabase also reports that the group’s first single, “Pompeii,” is the #1 Over-All Airplay Song of 2014 at the Triple A format. Since its release, the track has toppedBillboard’s Alternative Songs, Hot Rock Songs and Adult Alternative Songs charts and entered the Top 5 at Mainstream Top 40 and Adult Top 40. Year-end tallies show that “Pompeii,” which has been certified 4x multi-Platinum, is the No. 1 Alternative song according to SoundScan and the No. 1 Rock song according to Billboard.

The band’s new single, “Flaws,” is the third track from the band’s debut album, Bad Blood, to chart in the Top 5 at Alternative radio. Bad Blood has been certified Platinum in the U.S. and entered the U.K. albums chart at No. 1.

Today Bastille released VS., an eight-track offering that follows in the footsteps of the band’s previous mixtapes, Other People’s Heartache Pt.I and Pt.II, by melding together an array of genres, styles and production techniques, alongside some rather special collaborations, including HaimAngel Haze, and more. See below for track listing.

“With the mixtapes,” offers frontman Dan Smith, “it’s about working with as many people as possible and having fun with people that we know and the friends we’ve made through touring.”

In addition to its remarkable chart success, Bastille has been highly visible on television and on stages across the U.S. The band’s appearance on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2015” – airing worldwide on December 31, 2014 – caps off a year that began with Bastille’s “Saturday Night Live” debut and included performances on “Late Show with David Letterman,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” “TODAY,” “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and “”Late Night with Seth Meyers.” You can view Bastille performing “Pompeii” on “Saturday Night Live” HERE.

MTV named Bastille as an Artist To Watch in 2014 and VH1 called them “your new favorite band.” The group has won a BRIT Award, an mtvU Woodie and a Teen Choice Award and was nominated for two American Music Awards, five World Music Awards and numerous other honors. Songs from Bad Blood have been performed by the casts of “American Idol” and “Glee,” heard in the trailers for The Fault in Our Stars, The Book Thief and Mr. Peabody & Sherman and licensed by such television shows as “Selfie,” “The Vampire Diaries” and “Finding Carter.”
