Chicago’s Riot Fest & Carnival announces discounted Holiday Presale tickets
and Karma Cash Available Tuesday, November 25th, 2014 at 10:00 am
Riot Fest and Carnival organizers are excited to announce it will be returning to Humboldt Park September 11-13, 2015. In keeping with our annual tradition, Riot Fest is releasing a limited number of 3-Day GA and VIP tickets at a greatly reduced price. Tickets will be starting at $89.98 and will go on sale tomorrow, Tuesday November 25th at 10:00 am CST via ticketfly.com and riotfest.org.
This year Organizers are also offering Karma Cash for tickets. Karma Cash allows Riot Fest Fans, who might not otherwise be able to afford a ticket, a chance to earn one 3-day GA ticket through volunteer service with a registered 501c3 of their choice.
Riot Fest founder, Mike Petryshyn, stated that “Karma Cash became an idea last week after one of our friends over at Ticketfly.com, Jeff White, was talking to me about an honor system program at a Denver restaurant. The program was such that if you couldn’t afford to pay for your meal, the restaurant would give you a stamped envelope before you left and you’d pay when you could, Great idea I thought and while he was finishing his story, I was seeing how I could incorporate that into Riot Fest 2015. After a minute or so, a light bulb went off in my head and I was calling the Riot team and telling them to prepare for Karma Cash.”
How Karma Cash works:
* A person completes 25 hours of volunteer work at a registered 501c3 and will receive 1 GA 3-Day pass
* In order to qualify you need to provide documentation and send to karmacash@riotfest.org
* Documentation needs to include:
· signed letter from manager/superior from a Registered 501c3
· work and hours performed,
· contact info of manager/superior (website, e-mail, position and phone number).
* Karma Cash tickets are limited supply and all documentation will need to be submitted by January 25, 2015 @ 4 p.m. CST.
To register for Karma Cash:
1) Email karmacash@riofest.org to register
2) Registrant must provide Full Name, phone number and e-mail. Without that complete information, they will be denied.
3) Registrant will be e-mailed back with the instructions and deadline. From there, they need to confirm that they will be participating. If they do not respond to the confirmation e-mail, they will be taken off the list.
Behind the scenes, Riot Fest has always been mindful of charitable duties and has partnered with Chicago Coalition for the Homeless for several years now. Earlier this month Riot Fest announced the creation of The Riot Fest Foundation. Karma Cash is one more way that Riot Fest is creating unique opportunities for fans and simultaneously giving back to the community.
