Dustin Bates, Starset’s founder and vocalist, posted a photo on his personal Facebook page of a cellist recording at Emery Studios in Novelty, Ohio. Bates further elaborated by commenting, “New acoustic stuff coming soon!”
No word on a release date or how many tracks will be featured on the album. I’m speculating though that we’ll all be treated with a recording of David Bowie’s Space Oddity. Starset has been playing the classic Bowie track when they play acoustic sessions at radio stations.
