Amy Lee of Evanescence Teases New Music

Evanescence’s founder and Rock Goddess Amy Lee has been quiet lately. Too quiet.
Lee has released a few solo tracks and a duet with Korn since the band’s 2011 self-titled album dropped, but has been hushed about when fans can expect new material from the full band.  Drummer Will Hunt told me last summer, after the Device show in Omaha, that Lee had decided to go on hiatus until she could sort out exactly where the band was going. “She’s decided to change directions. Wants to reboot the band. But I’m sure we’ll all be back in the studio pretty soon.”
Yesterday, after posting photos of her newly painted nursery, Lee took to twitter with a long overdue announcement.
“New music coming out real soon. That’s all I’ll say for now, keep your eyes open ;)” @amyleeev
No word yet if the new music will be from her long rumored solo debut or Evanescence’s 4th major label release.
