Rumors and speculations are whirling around every comic book shop in the world. The biggest question, until the release of this cover, has been “Who is the mysterious woman gracing the covers of #127 and #128”? Kirkman has said that there will be “big changes” after the dramatic conclusion of All Out War in issue #126.
I suspect that the mysterious woman is Glenn and Maggie’s daughter, and that we’ve flashed forward at least 16 years in the story. Could this cover depict an elderly Rick Grimes? It would make sense. Obviously it’s an elderly man, and by showing the cane in his left hand, one could assume that this is Rick Grimes.
The tagline, “Even now, they still find new ways to dispose of the dead,” gives us a hint that our characters have been surviving for a number of years. No matter the outcome, I know we’re all in for a treat when May’s issue #127 is released!
