Being the experimenting children of Nine Inch Nails, Mogwai, and Thrice, this trio from Chicago is poised to catch the world’s attention. Counterfeit i creates an intense sonic landscape with the release their Still, Vol. II EP.
The mood of Still, Vol. II can best be described as epic. The four tracks on the EP, ranging from 6 and a half minutes to a staggering over 8 minutes in length, invoke a multitude of emotions.
Founder and vocalist Derek Allen explains the tone of their release; “After creating and touring something so ambient, it felt needed to make something opposite. It’s still ambient, but has louder tendencies.”
