“Back Home” marks the first single from ANDY’s as-yet-untitled, full-length second album out later this year on S-Curve Records. The joyously anthemic track illustrates ANDY’s knack for writing infectious, relatable songs remains strong, as does his soaring voice. It also showcases the musician’s growth since his last full-length release in 2011. On the new album, ANDY reinforces his place among male pop artists elite through honest reflections of the impressive ride he’s been on during the past couple of years.
ANDY began his remarkable career rise performing on the streets as a busker in Santa Monica, CA and, in just a few short years, became the first male artist to hit the Top 10 on Billboard’s Adult Pop chart with his first two singles since John Mayer in 2002. Additionally, he has gone on to sell over two million tracks, over 100,000 albums, sold out venues nationwide, performed onstage with Taylor Swift, Train, and Colbie Caillat, appeared on an array of national TV shows, received major song placements in film and TV, received BMI’s “Pop Music Award,” graced the cover of national touring trade magazine Pollstar and presented at their annual awards show, among many other accomplishments.
His platinum debut Top 5 hit single “Keep Your Head Up” was released on his acclaimed 2011 self-titled debut album on S-Curve Records. The follow-up track, “Fine By Me,” also sailed into the Top 10 on the Adult Pop chart and was certified gold, having sold well over half a million copies. “Miss Me,” ANDY’s third single off his album, climbed to #15 at Hot AC. Music videos for all three hit singles reached the Top 10 on VH1’s “Top 20” weekly video countdown.
