Remember Remember the 5th of November…

Vulkan the Krusader always celebrates his favorite day of the year with a release of some sort. This year he unleashes a track from the lost hard drives called Wild Horses. Produced by UK London phenom DA, the lyrical exercise goes over some soulful sampling. Throw in some sonic excerpts from Andy Warhol and H.P. Lovecraft and some off kilter flows with lines like “My flow colder than some Asian In-laws”, you got a lil nice piece of sound.

The Village Voice decided to premiere the track with a Interview they conducted with V today on their website, you can check that out here.

Also check out Vulkan’s new Robbie Darko EP cassettes thats just dropped, if you haven’t heard this project then we suggest you take the journey below. Vulkan not only raps, he sings over ethereal production from the 80’s. The “Grey Tape” had to be made to fully give the listener the full spectrum of how it felt to pop in a tape. If you are press/Media and would like a tape? Contact us for features/reviews/interviews for Vulkan on the subject matter.

Vulkan the Krusader, is a Nicaraguan born burgeoning artist, producer, songwriter and visual creator who has been crafting his own brand of Hip-Hop coined ‘Decadent Rap,’ since 2011; a formula  which consists of both gritty, and ethereal soundscapes and lyrics. Vulkan’s musical influences barrow largely from the three major cities that he’s lived at one point or another. From his childhood years in Los Angeles during the artist renaissance of the 1980s, to his adolescence and early adulthood years growing up during Miami’s bass movement, all the way through the gritty and dusty sounds of New York rap, while living independently in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn, NY, Vulkan is truly a product of his environments.

In February of 2011, Vulkan released his inaugural project,The Lucy Naive Mixtape  , which is the first of his ‘Rebirth Trilogy’ series. By November of ’11, Vulkan debuted his follow-up project V for Vendetta  , which boasts guest appearances from Mr. MFN esquire, and A$AP Ferg. By Valentine’s Day of this year, Vulkan unveiled his most cherished release to date with “V”, the third and final release of the trilogy, which showcases lo-fi sound bites, coupled with progressive sampling techniques. Thematically, Vulkan delves into his personal and artistic struggles on V. In addition to the aforementioned, Vulkan has worked alongside Kool AD (Das Racist), Aaron Cohen, Spaceman, and Kyle Rapps, among others. Although Vulkan handles much of his production, he has collaborated with Ryan Hemsworth, SPVCE, Kodak to Graph, Kynan, and Thelonious Martin, as well as his long time friend and collaborator, DJ Buttamilk.

Vulkan the Krusader is an artist that is not afraid to take risks and push the boundaries of musical experimentation. With roots in Folk Music, New Wave and Rap, and influenced by the likes of Depeche Mode, Three 6 Mafia and Wu-Tang Clan, Vulkan is an artist that will create change. Currently in isolation somewhere in southern Florida, Vulkan is busy at work formulating the visuals for V, and crafting his forthcoming release, VX-13: Do You Remember Love.
