“Pompeii,” the lead single from Bad Blood, is a Top 10 hit at Alternative radio. The anthemic track captures a conversation between two charred bodies, frozen in time, caught in the ash that engulfed the Roman city. “Pompeii” is getting major airplay at alternative radio stations such as KROQ-Los Angeles, Q87.7-Chicago, LIVE 105-San Francisco, KDGE-Dallas, WRFF-Philadelphia, DC101-Washington, KNRK-Portland and SiriusXM AltNation, where it recently topped “The Alt-18 Countdown.” The “Pompeii” video has more than 36 million views and has been added to FUSE Favorite, LOGO’s NewNowNext and mtvU. It is being featured in JetBlue’s in-flight video program this month.

“‘Bad Blood’ is an album crafted in one of modern pop’s greatest refineries,” said Artrocker, awarding it five stars, while PopMatters.com noted it is “as infectious as it is dramatically powerful.” BBC Music observed, “Bastille really deliver,” Q named Overjoyed” as “Track of the Day” and the band was featured in Billboard’s “Bubbling Under” column.

Bastille founder Dan Smith and his band mates – Will Farquarson, Kyle Simmons and Chris “Woody” Wood – have been playing and touring together for more than two years. While each has his main role in the band, they effortlessly trade places on vocals, keyboards and percussion.Bastille’s spring 2013 U.K. headline tour sold out immediately, with all 44,000 tickets gone in a day. The band played numerous international festivals over the summer, documenting their travels in a series of video clips that can be viewed at  Cinema Pompeii (http://www.cinemapompeii.com/), a site where Bastille presents a handcrafted selection of videos and performances.
