The Killing Renewed Season 3

Following two seasons of mixed critical and public reception, AMC opted to pull the plug on its crime drama series The Killing, expelling stars Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman from their careers in homicide investigation. Almost six months after the series’ cancelation, following Fox TV Studios’ exploration of a revival of the program at other venues (including prospects like Netflix), AMC announces that it will officially be bringing The Killing back for a third season.

Rumors have predated this declaration, assigning the forthcoming season of the program a new set of characters for a self-contained mystery (no more Rosie Larsen, we’ll be setting forth on a whole new murder mystery). However, fans will celebrate the return of Enos’ and Kinnaman’s starring characters, Detectives Linden and Holder, as the driving forces of the fresh story. Season 3 will consist of a 12 episode arc that will introduce and resolve the mystery in question.
