On a rainy day in july, in the heart of Bergslagen, three visionaries started a seemingly impossible project. In an under-dimensioned leaking rowing boat, they transported drums, mixer, computers and musical instruments to the island of Varghagen, situated in the middle of a pitch black forest lake. And there, in a solitary cottage – without running water or contact with the outer world – what would eventually become Varghagen began to take shape: a sometimes twisted, sometimes unexpected, but all through beautiful album with 21 tracks coloured by the environment in which they were born.
