The Last Internationale is giving away a free download of its debut single, “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Indian Blood,” HERE. The track is the first single from the band’s debut album, We Will Reign, which will be released by Epic Records in June. “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Indian Blood” can be streamed HERE.

The trio – comprising Delila Paz, Edgey Pires, and Brad Wilk – recorded their debut album at Henson Studios in Los Angeles with producer Brendan O’Brien (Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, Neil Young).

“Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Indian Blood’ is about how this country was founded on genocide, slavery, and conquest, all of which still exist today,” says the band. “The hopeful message of this song is that the only path of liberation is to continue building on generations of resistance to fully realize a better world.”

“Killing Fields,” another track from We Will Reign, can be heard in next week’s episode of the hit FX series “Justified,” airing on Tuesday, March 11, at 10:00 pm.

New York City natives Delila Paz and Edgey Pires quickly forged a reputation for poetic, socially conscious songs and explosive live performances, prompting Rolling Stone to note, “New York’s counterculture spirit lives on in The Last Internationale.” During a 2013 visit to Los Angeles, the pair spent Thanksgiving at Tom Morello’s home and talk turned to their need for a drummer. Morello suggested they speak with Brad Wilk (Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave), and got Brad on the phone.  After hearing their material and bonding with Edgey and Delila, Wilk signed on and by year’s end, the trio had completed recording We Will Reign.

The Last Internationale will be previewing material from the album during its SXSW showcases and while on tour with Weezer this April. See below for itinerary.
