Welcome to the year 4001! “Eternal Emperor” starts here!
Way back at New York Comic-Con last year, we told you that modern master Greg Pak (Action Comics) and rising star Robert Gill (also on Batgirl this month!) would be putting a whole new spin on Valiant’s famous future timeline in Eternal Warrior #5. Not only is this the next issue in our MUST READ VALIANT wave of new story arcs, but it also marks the introduction of the year 4001 into the all-new Valiant Universe – a year that holds special significance for old school Valiant fans, who might remember books like Rai and the Future Force and Psi-Lords as titles set in 4001 during the original Valiant era.
Well, Greg has masterminded a whole new take on the concept for the launch of the “Eternal Emperor” arc and, rest assured…there is a plan. Some of you may have spotted a new Rai teaser in the back of Unity #1. Could these two events be related? Only time will tell…
Meanwhile, X-O Manowar #21 by Robert Venditti, Cary Nord and Trevor Hairsine is rushing toward the conclusion of the Unity crossover and the beginning of a whole new paradigm for Valiant’s flagship hero. With the Armor Hunters event just over the horizon for summer 2014, pay very close attention – we have some very special, top secret announcements on deck for X-O that’ll be blowing minds very soon.
