Alabama native and former marine Jamey Johnson rose to the top of the Nashville food chain through blood, sweat and tears.  In April 2005, Johnson signed a recording agreement with BNA, and then released his debut The Dollar in January, 2006. Following the dissolution of that relationship and his marriage, he took a year off and returned with The Lonesome Song in August, 2008.  The lead single “In Color” reached number nine on the Billboard Country chart and was followed by “The High Cost of Living” delivering a RIAA certified gold album. At the 2009 Country Music Association Awards, Johnson won Song of the Year for “In Color.”  He has continued to release successful albums, while co-writing hits with or for others which include “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk” (Trace Adkins) and “Give It Away” (George Strait).
