AMC Confirms Location for The Walking Dead Spin-Off

Rumors continue to spread like wild fire about the upcoming spin-off for AMC’s The Walking Dead. Kirkman confirmed months ago that the series, tentatively titled COBALT, would not take place in Georgia. This week AMC confirmed that the series’ location would be Los Angeles.
No word yet as to the actual filming location, but the Senoia, Georgia area where The Walking Dead is currently being filmed is in the running.
British actor Frank Dillane (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince) and Into the Storm’s Alycia Debnam Carey have joined the spinoff pilot as the “former druggie” son, Nick, and “ambitious” daughter, Ashley, of one of the show’s main characters – a female guidance counselor named Nancy.
Cliff Curtis (Gang Related, Missing) has been cast as the male lead in the pilot for The Walking Dead Companion Series currently under the working name of “Cobalt.”
